Kelim Turkman

Product information "Kelim Turkman"
Flat feasted rugs have been common in many houses throughout Iran for a long time. Some examples are Kelim, these are flat woven wool rugs with characteristic slots. Others are sumaks, flat woven rugs that seem embroidered on the front and have loosely ends on the back. Originally, Kelim and Sumaks had many uses. They were used in front of doors to cover camels or horses, as a tent roofer to cover or sleep dining tables. These rugs were carefully maintained or restored.
