This rug is a unique and handmade product

The small village Garadje is located in the northwest of Iran, close to Tabriz, capital of the Azerbaijan part of Iran. The rugs from Garadje are known for their strong caucasian influence, which you can find in the characteristic geometric design, very similar to the ones you find in Heriz rugs. Typically the Garadje rugs have a central diamond or hexagonal medallion in the centre, which is surrounded by a latch hock motif. Just as other rugs from this area like Serapi or Heriz, rugs from Garadje tend to be in light colors.
