Product information "Turkman"
Turkmen-rugs are manufactured by the Turkish-speaking nomadic trunk of the same name, which lives in the northeastern part of Iran. The Turkmen are divided into many smaller other tribes. Each trunk has its own pattern, which united that they are kept in octagonal forms that are called "Gül". The stylized Gül acts like a kind of family coat of arms with every Turkmen nomadic base. The dominant color palette is red, especially very dark and almost brown tones.
