Kelim Tekkeh received their name from the Persian word for "a piece", which is called "tekkeh". Kelim Tekkeh brings an ancient tradition back, where nomads and villagers have stitched together parts of hand-woven rugs to create more significant rugs. Thus Kelim Tekkeh can be seen as "patchwork" Kelim, which consists of parts from one or different other Kelim.
